Interiors that lower
the heart rate.

Residential and hospitality interior design, and architecture, across California and beyond — from first brief to the day the rooms are styled and handed over.

The practice

Twelve years of practice across two continents, a B.Arch behind the drawings, and a portfolio built room by room rather than deal by deal.

I trained as an architect and practise as an interior designer. The work runs the whole arc — brief, survey, concept, plan, specification, visualisation and installation — with one person answerable for all of it.

That matters most at the end. Anyone can produce a beautiful board; far fewer can get a nine-thousand square foot house delivered, sequenced and styled without the scheme quietly falling apart between the drawing and the room.

More about Sima

How a project runs

Seven stages, in the same order, every time.

  1. 01

    Brief

Objectives, lifestyle, scope and budget agreed before a single line is drawn.

  2. 02

    Survey

Existing conditions measured and photographed; architectural constraints logged.

  3. 03

    Concept

Direction set through palette, material and reference — the argument for the scheme.

  4. 04

    Space Planning

Circulation, zoning and furniture layouts resolved against the architecture.

  5. 05

    Specification

Every piece scheduled: dimension, finish, textile, lead time, price.

  6. 06

    Visualisation

Photoreal renderings so the client approves the room, not a mood.

  7. 07

    Installation

Delivery sequenced, site supervised, rooms styled and photographed.

The private portfolio

Client work is shown by invitation.

The full archive contains floor plans, specification schedules, budgets and photography of private homes. Those belong to the clients who commissioned them, so access is granted individually and for a fixed period.

Tell me a little about your project and I will open it for you — usually the same day.
